Noida: The AAFT School of Interior Design is proud to announce the appointment of the distinguished interior designer, Sunita Kohli, as the Dean of Industry. With this prestigious addition, the school enhances its reputation for providing exceptional education and training in the field of interior design. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT, expressed his enthusiasm: “Sunita Kohli’s joining brings a new level of prestige and glamour to our institution.”

Sunita Kohli shared her excitement about this new role: “I am very happy and excited to be part of the AAFT School of Interior Design. It is a wonderful opportunity to share my deep experience in the field with young aspirants. I will ensure that they gain extensive knowledge from my experience.”

To welcome Sunita Kohli, a formal function was organized at the AAFT School of Interior Design. During the event, she was introduced to the entire administration, management, and students of AAFT.

Sunita Kohli is an acclaimed Indian interior designer, architectural restorer, and furniture manufacturer. She has restored and decorated several iconic buildings, including Rashtrapati Bhavan (the President’s House), the Parliament House Colonnade, the Prime Minister’s Office, and Hyderabad House in New Delhi. In recognition of her contributions, she was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 1992.

Sunita Kohli has also been a guest lecturer at various prestigious institutions, including Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government Innovations, Emory University’s Carlos Museum and Halle Institute, Colorado College, and the National Building Museum in Washington DC. She has published and presented several papers and books, further solidifying her expertise and influence in the field of interior design.

AAFT and ICMEI Join Hands with NDFF-New Delhi Film Foundation

Noida: The Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT) and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) have formed a strategic partnership with the New Delhi Film Foundation (NDFF). The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) marks a significant step towards promoting Indian cinema at Marwah Film City.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT and ICMEI, along with Ashish K Singh, Founder and General Secretary of NDFF, and Ajit Rai, were present at the signing ceremony. This collaboration aims to enhance the landscape of Indian cinema through various initiatives and projects that will be hosted  and planned together at Marwah Film City.

“Cinema is the magical art form that transcends boundaries, bringing stories to life and emotions to the surface. It is a powerful medium that unites people, offering a window into diverse cultures, perspectives, and experiences,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah while handing over the copy of the MOU.

The New Delhi Film Foundation is a non-profit film society registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, with its operations extending across India. Its primary objective is to watch cinema, talk cinema, learn cinema, and make cinema together. The foundation strives to create sensitivity and understanding in society for sensible and sincere cinema. Many of its founding members are seasoned professionals in journalism and filmmaking. This collaboration is poised to bring a new era of creative synergy and cultural exchange, further enriching the Indian cinematic landscape.

Faculty Development Program at AAFT by Experts

Noida: A well-designed Faculty Development Program was successfully conducted at the AAFT in Noida, aiming to enhance the teaching standards and incorporate advancements in technology and evolving student behavior patterns. Noida: The students of the AAFT School of Performing Arts (Music) recently participated in an engaging workshop titled “Musicians in Front of Camera,” conducted by Madhav Singla at Marwah Film City. The workshop aimed to educate students on how to present themselves in various visual media formats, including film, TV programs, stage shows, documentaries, and advertising films.

“The more you practice, the better you become. Music enhances your thinking, culture, values, and art. Every new input brings new zest into the life of a learner,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and practice.

Workshop on Arri Camera Conducted by Medhadeep Bandyopadhyay at AAFT

Noida: The students of cinema at Marwah Film City recently had the privilege of participating in a specialized workshop on the Arri Camera, led by the esteemed Director of Photography, Medhadeep Bandyopadhyay. This event, held at AAFT, aimed to enhance students’ skills in camera operations and creative filmmaking.

Medhadeep Bandyopadhyay, known for his extensive work in music videos, corporate films, advertising films, short films, and wedding photography, shared his mastery of camera operations and the creative optimum use of cameras. His diverse experience and experimental photography techniques provided students with fresh perspectives and innovative methods in handling cameras and creating short films.

“The workshop introduced numerous new ways of handling cameras and the best practices for creating shorts, drawing from Medhadeep’s rich experience and experimental approaches in photography,” noted Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT.

Powerful Camera Workshop at AAFT School of Cinema

Noida: The AAFT School of Cinema recently hosted an intensive workshop on film photography, underscoring the adventurous and ever-expanding nature of this art form. The workshop emphasized the importance of understanding the complete aesthetics of filmmaking and the creative use of cameras, beyond mere operational knowledge.

“Film photography is an adventure, a journey into the unknown. The more you know, the more you want to learn. At AAFT, we aim to go beyond camera operations; we want students to grasp the entire aesthetic of filmmaking and employ the most creative use of the camera. Our students have excelled in news, current affairs, television, and cinema fictional programs. I frequently receive messages from the industry praising their sincere efforts and caliber in enhancing the quality of any visual media program,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT.

The workshop featured sessions on the Red Camera, conducted by industry experts Mukesh Shukla, Ketakee Arun Desai, and Raj Peddiniti from Mumbai. The sessions invigorated students, filling them with enthusiasm and a renewed energy. Deepa Chandra Awarded Life Membership of International Women’s Film Forum

Noida:— Deepa Chandra, a distinguished media personality and former Additional Director General of Doordarshan, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, has been honored with a life membership of the International Women’s Film Forum (IWFF) at Marwah Studios during her visit to Noida Film City.

Expressing her admiration for the facilities and initiatives at Marwah Studios and AAFT University, Deepa Chandra remarked, “I am thrilled to see the quality, infrastructure, and various activities here at Noida Film City. Dr. Sandeep Marwah has single-handedly created a revolution in the entertainment industry, with Noida Film City at its epicentre. I must congratulate him for his success.”

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, the founder of Marwah Studios, presented the life membership to Deepa Chandra, acknowledging her contributions to the media industry. “We are pleased to invite Deepa Chandra, one of the most capable officers from Doordarshan, to be part of the International Women’s Film Forum. I am sure her advice will take this organization to new heights,” said Dr. Marwah.

AAFT School of PR, Events, and Advertising Signs MOU with EMMA

Noida: In a landmark move, the AAFT School of PR, Events, and Advertising has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Event and Entertainment Management Association (EMMA), the premier body in the nation for events. This collaboration aims to provide significant placement support to students in their final semester. “This is the biggest break the students of AAFT School of PR, Events, and Advertising can get,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the School, following the signing of the MOU with EMMA.

The MOU was signed at Marwah Studios with Dr. Sandeep Marwah and Vipul Pandhi, Vice President North of EMMA, exchanging notes. Other notable attendees included Ruchin Kohli, Joint Secretary, and Tushar Malik, Zonal Manager from EMMA, along with Albeena Abbas from AAFT.

Vipul Pandhi, addressing the press, highlighted the growing market of the events industry and the need for educated and trained personnel. “AAFT students are well-groomed and have a wonderful scope to do well in the industry,” he remarked.
