Algerian Cuisine Showcased at 10th Global Literary Festival

Noida, India – The 10th Global Literary Festival concluded with an unforgettable celebration of international culture, spotlighting the rich culinary heritage of Algeria. The Cuisines from Algeria segment was inaugurated by H.E. Ali Achoui, the Ambassador of Algeria to India, at a vibrant food festival that brought diverse flavors from around the world to Noida.

The event, organized by the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, showcased an exquisite range of Algerian dishes, reflecting the North African nation’s unique blend of Mediterranean, Berber, and Arab culinary influences. From rich couscous to flavorful tagines, attendees experienced the authentic tastes of Algeria in a beautifully curated setting.

Shri Tirath Singh Rawat, Member of Parliament and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He emphasized the profound connection between food and culture, stating, “Culture is incomplete without food. Events like these bring a lot of energy into the system, though they are not easy to organize.” His remarks resonated with the festival’s ethos of celebrating global cultures through literature, art, and gastronomy.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University and President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), expressed his pride in hosting a truly international event that transcended borders. He remarked, “Food is not just sustenance, it’s a powerful medium to understand and appreciate the cultural diversity of different nations. This festival is a testament to the unity in diversity that makes such cultural exchanges enriching.”

His Excellency Ali Achoui, the Ambassador of Algeria to India, expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to present Algerian cuisine to the Indian public. He highlighted the importance of cultural exchange through food, stating, “Food is a universal language that speaks to the heart of every culture. I am delighted to share the flavors of Algeria with our Indian friends, and I hope this event fosters deeper ties between our two nations.”
